By combining the Lean and Six Sigma principles together with a pragmatic approach, we increase the efficiency and effectiveness of your operations. We work together with the people on the shopfloor, making sure all knowledge is handed over from the start.
One example of an improvement with a high impact is the SMED analysis, which focusses on the machine change-overs. By breaking the change-over down into all the individual actions and re-defining them, change-over times can be drastically reduced (sometimes even from 2 hours per change-over to less than half an hour) Because machines and labour force can generate more output in the same time, costs can be seriously reduced. Not only do we assist in making the analysis, we also help implement the changes to avoid that this will remain a theoretical exercise.
To estimate the improvement potential for your specific production environment, we typically start with a small scale implementation. Building on the success of this small pilot project, we move on to the next one.
